On Wednesday September 3rd 2014 Aberdeen & Northern Marts offered 138 lots of cattle that were shown and sold at the reputable ‘Spectacular’ Sale of Store Cattle, Weaned and Suckled Calves.’

The event provided a brilliant opportunity for bidders to purchase top show stock from around Scotland, and it is one of the leading exhibition’s and auctions of commercial cattle.

The exhibition show, which took place prior to the auction, was a huge success with cattle entries competing for £4,000 cash prizes. The event would have been in many farming calendars as it is highly popular with buyers and sellers from Scotland and the rest of the UK.

The sale featured a wide range of Steer and Heifer’s including a number of Limousin crosses with one of these lots achieving the top hammer price of £3,800 for a Heifer born in 2013 called ‘D-Ream.’

i-bidder.com were delighted to host the sale online, which meant buyers didn’t have to be by the ringside to bid. Although buying cattle isn’t traditionally done via the internet, as two lots found homes with online bidders it’s increasing popularity is evident.
