The two day automobile auction in Ladenburg, Germany on 23rd and 24th of May is a real treasure trove for the car fanatic. The auction is showcasing around 3000 lots guaranteed to get any motor sport enthusiast’s pulse racing.

The catalogue features various vintage owners’ manuals, beautifully illustrated magazines, trophies and badges, hand signed photographs and even car parts from the Porsche Rennsport racing team. Some highlights of the sale include the drivers overalls of Michael Schumacher and a private photo album from James Dean’s former mechanic, Rolf Wütherich. The album dates back to the years 1950 and 1951 and contains a multitude of photographs of prototypes produced by the company Porsche at the time, as well as an original Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 power engine.

Some other exciting items include an original 1950’s car radio from a Porche 356, an autographed driving helmet belonging to Georg Meier circa 1939 and a Bugatti cup circa 1948
